‘New Guard’ designers Beth and Tessa MacGraw launched their eponymous label in April 2012. The sister duo have since carved their place in the Australian designer landscape with signature prints and a keen eye for beautiful fabrications in wearable silhouettes. In 3 years m a c g r a w has attracted a strong fan base of contemporary high-end dressers who appreciate easy yet unique, detail oriented design. Their colourful personality has also garnered the attention of key media and celebrity. The brand counts Lorde, Coco Rocha and Pandora Sykes as fans and has enjoyed a nod of approval from Harper’s Bazaar U.S.A who after meeting the designers published an article entitled ‘Meet the Aussie brand that will make your summer’. Beautiful, textural fabrications and luxe, wearable looks are fast becoming a signature for m a c g r a w. Beth and Tessa have come to enjoy the process of creating their own unique prints hand drawn in-house by Tessa.

m a c g r a w debuted at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in April 2014 to critical acclaim. Elle Australia labeled m a c g r a w ‘designers you need to know’, the Sunday Telegraph named the brand ‘Best newcomer’ and ‘ones to watch’, and Vogue declared ‘the time is ripe’ for m a c g r a w.

The brand now shows annually at MBFWA and has become a favourite of media and buyers alike. The label is stocked in a slew of luxury retailers in Europe, U.S.A and Asia and is stocked by global e-tailers Farfetch, Moda Operandi, and Avenue 32… most recently picked up by Lane Crawford. In March 2016, m a c g r a w was the receiver of the Tiffany & Co. National Designer Award and in April won the Australia’s prestigious BT Award. The designers have just won their regional final of the International Woolmark Prize 2016/17 and will be representing Australia and New Zealand at the Paris final in January.
Their designs are strong yet feminine and effortlessly elegant; a label that’s drawing serious attention from all the right places.
